Current Code Boulder Rural has adopted the 2015 International Fire Code (IFC), with amendments to accommodate our unique suburban, rural, and wild land/urban interface environment. This was ratified by the Boulder County Commissioners in March, 2018. The new fire code adds three chapters covering marijuana grows, marijuana extractions, and alcoholic beverage production. We also harmonize our code with the Boulder County Land Use Code and the Boulder County Building Code. The ratified adoption document is 2015 IFC Adopted Boulder Rural Signed by Commissioners
For most residences, there are no major changes.
If you would like to examine a copy of the adopted code, please contact Inspector Dean Rogers at 720-498-0019.
